Default New Elementalist skill

I dont really have a name for it, or have any idea on how to balance it. But i liked the idea because it helps to "buff' a kind of elementalist that doesnt seem to be as useful/powerful as it should be.
We all know how those "touch" fire skills (touch=need to stay close in order to deal dmg), and even some earth skills, arent as useful as we all would like to be, like Double dragon, Flame burst, Star burst, Phoenix. The only exception: Shockwave.
The concept of a Fire elemtentalist that acts as a kamikaze seems to fail because hes lack of armor does not compensates the damage he should deal, BUT, fire elementalists arent supposed to actually have any armor boost, so i had this idea of a skill to boost these kind of elementalists. (dont bother looking at the name, nor how balanced it is)

Unstable Power. (Fire)
Enchantment
Cast time: 1/2
Energy: 10
Recharge: 30
For 20...32...36 seconds, whenever you cast a Fire spell, all nearby foes take 10...34...42 Fire damage.

Hm...you're right...

There's no way to balance this. It's either too powerful or too little power.

This spell has a PBAoE effect. Meaning it is useless in PvP and will be excellent in farming.

[skill]Phoenix[/skill]

Imagine it... those point black area of effect skill do quite a big deal of damage. I sometimes use shadowstep skill to get to an enemy, cripple her, and take her out in a second.

Hm... I think that something that makes adjacent allies burn when you cast a fire spell would be better.

Something like:

Burning Aura
Enchantment
C:2; E:15; R:45
For 5..30..36 seconds, whenever you cast a Fire spell, all adjacent foes are set on fire for 3 seconds.

how about this for a balance so it cant be abused, and it matchs name better

unstable power
enchantment
15e 3 cast 60 recharge
for 10...20...30 seconds whenever you cast a fire spell you and all adjecent foes take 10...40...50 fire damage.

i think that fixes

Mark of Rodgort

"Hex Spell. Target foe and all nearby foes are Hexed with Mark of Rodgort. For 10...30 seconds, whenever each foe is struck for fire damage, that foe is set on fire for 1...3 seconds."

Sounds almost the same to me. We have more then enough fire spells for elementals that effect surrounding foes. We really dont need anymore.

Not the same at all. Mark of rodgor is an hex, so it can be removed as an hex.

But an enchantment is different. An can be covered by 'inmmunity to cast' spells, like Shadow Form or Obsidian Flesh, so it will be usable in battles with no 'area or attack enchantement removal' but 'hex removal'.

That shows I need to read things before I post. I hadnt seen the "enchantment" bit. In that case I would be extremely /not signed at that.

I love being an ele and its my main, but that would them extremely over-powered.

Combine that with an echo SF Nuker, with an armor enchant, and you have one extremely dangerous player. Now imagine they gave that ability to the creatures in PvE during HM!

They could wipe out an PUG in seconds. We have countless spells, that do damage to surrounding foes, which you can use in a chain, or spam! We already have the ability to turn ourselves into a bomb!

Plus we already have issues of PvE elementals thinking the "Searing Flame build" is the "daddy", and that if you dont use it, your a noob! I actually god ordered once to use SF in a PUG! Seriously!

If we give them this ability, we will end up with the "[what ever its called] build" being the new trend, and everyone using it. Then the PvP players start winging its overpowered and a new debate starts about having it nerfed.
